I just recently moved to Massachusetts, or as some like to refer to it as Taxachusetts. I have come to see what they meant by that nickname. I and my family tend to eat out a lot. This may soon come to an end. Seems they like to tax you for eating “prepared” foods here. Called a Meal Tax? Since when is it in anyway a person, states right to tax me for eating at McDonald’s? Also you gotta pay a deposit on like all the soda cans, beer cans, and bottles and there is one other thing you pay a deposit for but as of right now it escapes me. Although you can get this money back by taking it all to the store and trading it in. It’s a hassle and dammit I nor anyone else should have to do it.
They collect enough deposits, taxes and other things that the damn state should be lined with gold on every street and have a policeman per resident, but for some reason, the roads all pretty much seem to be in disrepair, the street design is pretty damn shitty, seems they can’t afford to buy street signs. Try finding a place in Framingham, MA and you will learn the definition of the word lost.
Since I am not particularly happy with the extra money they are taking from me for drinking water, sprite and beer I will gladly inconvenience the stores to get my money back. Can you say “garbage bag” full of stuff?
Freedom in America seems to be on the outs. Sure I can drive to any state I want to without being searched or asked to many questions, but what if I want to drive without my seatbelt? Isn’t it my body, my fortress of solitude? Who’s right is it to say that when i get into an accident they are saving me because I was wearing my seatbelt? This is just another way for some politicians to pay for their campaigns with my money. I recently heard that Southwest Airlines will charge someone double ticket prices for being over weight? I guess this will be known as the 200% FAT TAX. That part should probably be where I talked about taxes but oh well it’s my damn website so :p~~. Another freedom that seems to be going out the window is the freedom of choice. In California, some city or county is trying to outlaw all types of coffee except those that organically grown. How stupid is that? Because someone has a deal with organic coffee growers, the coffee will be more expensive and you will not have a choice on who’s coffee you want to drink. Well enough of this before i go off and drive to California with a cup of non-organic coffee and spill it on some politicians head for his Tea Tax.
peace……………….
